Nail Bars Re-open in Scotland

As nail bars and beauty salons across Scotland re-open and we enjoy some of the luxuries that lockdown has denied us, take a moment – stop and think! Beauty is one of the high risk industries for trafficking and exploitation. Hidden in plain sight, human trafficking is prevalent in each of our towns and cities. So, behind your therapists smile there could be the murky world of violence and abuse. Be sure you know how to spot the signs of exploitation and what you can do when you have concerns. It will take you a few minutes to report suspicions and it could save a life!

Human trafficking and exploitation has increased by over 125% in Scotland between 2018-2019. We believe everyone deserves to live in freedom with dignity and respect. We are committed to a slavery free Scotland, it will only be achieved if we all play our part.
