We are delighted to have these amazing interns as part of our team throughout 2020:
‘I am currently studying Fashion Marketing and Retail at Heriot Watt University and have a keen interest in digital marketing. I have a drive to work with and help those companies and charities that are making a difference and raising awareness such as SOHTIS.
During this internship I hope to learn more about the importance of social media input to helping charities such as SOHTIS. I hope to grow my skills and experience in social media marketing and provide useful content which will help raise awareness of human trafficking in Scotland.’
‘I have just finished my 3rd year of a BSc Geography degree and am about to start a summer internship with SOHTIS, as a student involved in helping those from underprivileged backgrounds through university societies and christian volunteering I was delighted to be offered a position with SOHTIS. I was shocked to learn how prevalent human trafficking in our society is, it is an issue we must spread the word about. I hope I can help people in many institutions such as churches, schools and universities understand the issue and know how they can spot signs of trafficking, in order to build a more equal future in Scotland. I hope to develop my confidence in working independently throughout the summer as well as learn more about human trafficking in order to understand my privilege and how I can use it for the better throughout my life.’
